Dragging the Pond

Hi. 

I've been on a big break from blogging for 2+ years, I think, maybe even 3+, and lately I thought I'd run thru pulling the blog fleet back from search engine visibility. This blog was already invisible to search engines for ages, so imagine my surprise seeing the traffic... O_O 

The most traffic EVER on this blog occurred during May of this year, 2025, referrals coming in from legit business addresses all over the world. Apparently, I can only guess, that a link got shared coworker to coworker on the clock, maybe something about dealing with social media accounts, and it's not exactly viral, but suddenly 400+ walkovers on work computers in offices spanning PepsiCo to Etsy and all kinds of stuff in between from over 20 different countries... 

These weren't 'pings'. These weren't bots. These weren't the usual swarms I've dealt with on much more public blogs that try to hijack where my site takes ya. These were people wandering thru one at a time checking things out, leaving reading trails. 

This is why I blog. We are real people in a world smothered in so much fake, no one can even tell anymore. 

I'm not monetized and you guys came in and actually read words written by an ordinary real person not pushing any kind of agenda. 

I love you. I actually like humans. Despite what this blog looks like, my head is full of hugs for real people, and I hope you are OK.
